TORONTO- June 1, 2020—We are pleased to announce that as of today, we are able to offer investors a U.S. dollar purchase option for the Beutel Goodman American Equity Fund (the Fund).

“The U.S. dollar option is a convenient offering for investors holding USD, who are looking to benefit from the large and diversified U.S. market, but would prefer to avoid foreign exchange costs when buying or selling,” says Paul Hamilton, Vice President, Managed Assets.

The Beutel Goodman American Equity Fund is co-managed by Rui Cardoso, Managing Director, U.S. and International Equities and Glenn Fortin, Vice President, U.S. and International Equities and has a minimum initial investment of $5,000, with subsequent purchases of $100 for Classes B, D and F.

The strategy is managed with Beutel Goodman’s disciplined equity investment process using bottom-up, fundamental research to invest in companies at discounts to their business value, as defined by the present value of their sustainable free cash flow. The Fund represents a concentrated portfolio of the team’s highest conviction ideas, with a bias towards mid- to large-cap U.S. companies and a long-term investment horizon. The team ensures adequate diversification by imposing limitations on the maximum weight in any individual security or sector.
