TORONTO- July 18, 2019—We are pleased to announce the growth of our fixed income team with the addition of two new hires: Neil McCabe and Christopher Mudie.
An enhanced focus on our Core Plus strategy highlighted an opportunity to deepen the firm’s credit capabilities and complement our disciplined and rigorous credit process. As a result, two candidates were selected based on their impressive credentials and experience.
Neil McCabe joins as Assistant Vice President, Fixed Income. Neil comes from Fiera Capital, where he most recently worked as a portfolio manager on a three-person high yield team, collectively responsible for $1.5 billion of assets under management. Neil was responsible for investment decisions for a number of market sectors, including sector and risk allocation based on macro-credit view. He also has significant experience in analyzing bank capital and hybrid structures.
Chris Mudie joins the fixed income team as a credit analyst. Previously, Chris worked at Canso Investment Counsel in progressively senior roles, starting as a trader and moving to credit analyst and then associate portfolio manager. In these roles, Chris gained experience in both high yield and investment-grade credit, and brings with him extensive knowledge of the infrastructure sector, including public/private partnerships.
We are proud to add the skills of Neil and Chris to the team as we continue to grow our talent across the firm, investing in the future of Beutel Goodman and our clients.
