TORONTO – December 7, 2020 — We are very pleased to announce the upcoming promotion of Mary Crowe to Vice President, Canadian Equities.

Mary joined Beutel Goodman in 2010 and has spent the last decade working on the Fixed Income team in positions of progressive responsibility. Over the past several years, she has worked extensively on fundamental company research and credit analysis covering multiple sectors. As the Fixed Income team increased their universe of credit coverage, Mary has collaborated broadly with the Canadian Equities team, and her In-depth credit experience will be a significant asset to the team.

The transition from the Fixed Income team to the Canadian Equities team is expected to commence in early 2021 and given that Mary is already well-versed in the research process, we expect it to be relatively seamless. During the transition, we will be adding a new credit analyst to the fixed income team to continue our strength and capabilities in credit research, which was bolstered last year with the addition of both Neil McCabe and Chris Mudie.

Once Mary has transitioned to the Canadian Equities team, her coverage responsibilities will include both the large- and small-cap portfolio, in keeping with the team’s existing cross-portfolio collaboration efforts. Sector coverage will be determined once the transition is complete.
